     Fresh from a well-deserved break from the spotlight, Australian singer/songwriter Delta Goodrem is back with an exciting new single - 'in this life'. The single is the first release from the singer's up coming third studio album, which heralds a new vitality and energy from the uniquely talented artist.

'in this life' reaffirms new beginnings, celebrates perseverance, and rejoices in moving forward. "I have faltered, I have stumbled, I have found my feet again; I've been angry, I've been shaken, found a new place to begin," she sings on the single, which is destined to become an anthemic hit on radio airwaves.

One of Australia's most-loved and most successful singer/songwriters has found her feet; rejuvenated by her self-imposed absence from the spotlight, Delta Goodrem is ready to reintroduce herself to audiences with 'in this life'.

Since signing with Sony Music when she was only fifteen years old, Delta Goodrem has found herself at the centre of public interest and attention. Following her popular role on TV series Neighbours, Delta released her debut album 'Innocent Eyes' in 2003, which went on to become the biggest selling album in Australia that year, as well as reaching the high echelons of the UK album charts. The album spawned a string of 1 singles including 'Born To Try', 'Lost Without You', 'Innocent Eyes', 'Not Me, Not I' and 'Predictable', and Delta went on to win seven Aria Awards that year after spending 29 weeks at the top of the charts. In 2004, following a diagnosed illness that was intensely followed by the media, Delta released her second album 'Mistaken Identity' - another 1 album in Australia. The album produced further 1 singles, 'Out Of The Blue' and 'Almost Here'.

Since then Delta Goodrem has allowed herself the time to grow as an artist, and as a young woman. "Right from the beginning there were so many people involved in my career. Both my albums did amazingly well, and the success I had, particularly in Australia, was something that was quite out of the ordinary. After such a hectic period I felt I needed to clear my head and start fresh. I needed to get to know exactly who I was as a young woman, and what I liked and felt. I've changed, and I wanted to be able to return to the heart of my music and help write a collection of songs that were based on who I am now. 'in this life' is a great introduction to the new album."

'in this life' was produced in the US by hit-maker John Shanks, who is best known for his work with Bon Jovi and Kelly Clarkson, amongst many others.
